Swanton is a town located in the northwest part of the state in Franklin County. On August 17, 1763 Benning Wentworth, Royal Governor of New Hampshire was issued a grant for 23,040 acres of land to be called Swanton. Two hundred years later in 1963 Queen Elizabeth gave two Swans to the town to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Swanton Charter. Since then, the swans have remained a huge part of the town. The original swans were named Sam and Betty meaning Uncle Sam and Queen Elizabeth. Millbrook was awarded the project which consists of a new 8520sf building. The work includes, but is not limited to: Site-work, paving, line striping, concrete, metal roofing, siding, cabinetry and counter-tops, insulation, doors, overhead doors, vinyl windows, drywall, flooring, painting, accessories, mechanical, and electrical. |
